X3 Inclined Platform Lift
Designed for straight staircases, the X3 inclined platform lift provides safe, step-free access between levels for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Running along a discreet rail fitted to the staircase or adjacent wall, it follows the line of the stairs closely, keeping disruption to the existing building to a minimum and leaving the staircase looking much as it did before. It requires no lift shaft and minimal structural work in most installations.
Suitable for both residential and commercial properties, the X3 can be utilised in private homes, apartment buildings, schools, workplaces, and public buildings. External installation is also available, making it a practical solution for outdoor and indoor applications. When not in use, the platform folds away to keep the staircase clear for other users — a practical consideration in homes or buildings where the stairs are shared.
With a range of platform sizes, finishes, and configuration options including automatic folding, remote or attendant controls, and an optional fold-down seat; for staircases without an adjacent wall, support towers can also be provided to mount the rail system independently.
Simple, practical operation
The X3 is operated using large, illuminated push-to-run buttons positioned on the platform and angled towards the user, making them easy to use for people with limited dexterity. A remote control is also available where assisted operation is preferred, and wireless wall-mounted call stations can be fitted at each landing for added convenience.
Gradual start/stop technology ensures smooth, controlled travel throughout. Battery powered, the system continues to operate during a mains power failure – recharges automatically when the lift returns to its charging point.
Safety features included as standard:
- Obstruction sensors stop the lift automatically if anything is detected in the path of travel
- Bi-directional ramp sensing detects obstacles at both the leading and trailing ramp
- Pedestrian safety lights alert others to the lift's movement
- Curved safety arms and ramps secure the user during travel
- Passenger grab bar provides additional support throughout the journey
- Emergency stop control, easily accessible on the platform
- Emergency manual lowering allows the platform to be brought to a safe position in the event of a fault
- Controlled acceleration and deceleration throughout the journey
- Battery backup ensures continued operation during a power failure
The X3 has a maximum capacity of 250kg and is covered by our 2-year warranty as standard.
